The aeroTAP 3D camera is a USB camera optimized for the aeroTAP touchless interface.
By using it as an aeroTAP camera, you can make the most of the aeroTAP's functions.
It can also be used for general-purpose purposes as a 3D camera or stereo camera (3D camera).
Depth and color images can be obtained directly from the camera.
Since it runs on USB 2.0, it is ideal for developing VR and MR interfaces and as a ROS sensor.

購入時の注意
There are two types of 3D cameras available, so please select one on the purchase screen.
Type A: With IR cut filter
- If you use the images as a normal webcam, the color images from the camera will be closer to reality.
Type B: No IR cut filter
- We recommend this if you are using it in dark places or for use as a 3D sensor.
It is also effective in slightly dark places, and in even darker areas it can be used with infrared LEDs.
Also, if you are using an infrared projector or similar to take 3D measurements, please see here.
I recommend it. The weak point is that it reacts to infrared light, so it is not suitable for use outdoors or in places with natural light.

Also, since infrared light is not filtered out in color images, the colors appear slightly different from the actual colors.
We consider Type A to be for the general public (more versatile, used as an aeroTAP touchless interface), and Type B to be for businesses (infrared light, etc.).
